How early can I request a tour?
Obtaining a White House tour can be very difficult and requests must be submitted no later than three weeks in advance of the requested date(s). I suggest submitting a request as soon as you have set the dates for your trip to DC. My office will submit your request as dates become available. The White House accepts tours 3 months in advance, the Capitol 5 months, and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing 6 months.
When will I know if I received a White House tour?
The White House Visitors Office will email you directly with an update on your tour request approximately 14 days before your requested dates.
White House tours are only available during the following times:
- Tuesday – Thursday, 7:30am – 11:30am
- Friday – Saturday, 7:30am – 1:30pm
We are unable to request specific time slots for the White House.
Please note: All White House tours are subject to cancellation and cannot be rebooked or moved once confirmed.
How do we get passes to the House Gallery?
